Do you ever sit at your computer in the morning, staring at a blank screen and wondering what on earth you’re supposed to do to book more clients today? If so, this article is specifically for you!
If you’re a Coach, Therapist or Online Service Provider, you’re probably using social media to grow your audience and book your clients.
We’re going to talk about how you can increase your conversions and book more clients on Facebook, but remember that these strategies work just as well for Instagram & LinkedIn too!
What are the steps you need to take?
What types of posts do you need to create?
How do you get people interested enough to actually say yes to you?
I'm going to start with the most basic tip because it’s the most important:
You've got to have the right people and the right offer that matches your audience.
There are two ways to do this:
You have a pre-created offer and then fill your audience with potential clients that need your solution to you through your messaging & content
You have a pre-created audience and you create an offer specifically for them.
When you first start out in your online business, you’ll probably be using the first option. But as time goes on and your audience grows with your ideal clients, you may want to switch to option #2 at times - perhaps when you need inspiration for a new coaching program, online course or digital product that you want to create.
You need to tell your audience that you have things for sale!
So many Coaches & online business owners actually forget to sell! And sell something every single day.
These don’t have to be hard core ‘buy my stuff’ posts, but you DO need to be selling every day! Just a simple CTA to book a call with you, to sign up for your challenge, or a gentle reminder to buy your products are all ways of soft selling.
If you don't tell people what your services are, then no one's going to know!
Make connections & build relationships with your audience!
Think of it this way:
You’re using Facebook as a way to promote your business and you have 3 main platforms within Facebook to do this - your Page, Group & your Profile.
You probably have 1000’s of people on your friends list who are your ideal clients (or at least you should have!)...
The more you engage with them, the more your posts will come up in their news feed. It also makes it a lot easier (and more authentic) when you invite people to join your Group or Like your Page.
Because although you're, you've got those people and you've connected those people. for your business, you need to actively engage with them, okay? And it's really, really important. That's tip number three. Okay, so tip number three, is to make those connections.
Listen, listen some more and ask questions.
The best thing that you can do in your business, is to listen to what other people are telling you.
Really pay attention to what they're saying when they're writing a post, they're writing a response to someone or they're commenting on somebody else's post.
Perhaps you see a post from a friend who says she is just about to do her very first Facebook Live and she is really nervous!
What does that tell you?
If you are a Mindset or Confidence Coach, you can show your support by giving her some motivation and tips and letting her know you’re there for her if she needs you.
If you are a Video Coach, you could comment and share your best tip and give her a free gift to help with the tech setup, or what to do if things go wrong.
Give value first but always offer to help! It doesn’t even have to be in the same comment, perhaps you could come back later and ask how it went and offer your support then.
When you offer to help people, they (and they’re friends) are going to start seeing what you do, who you are and what you stand for.
Boil the frog.
No, not literally! Let me explain…
There's an old wives tale that says if you put a frog into a pan of boiling water, then it will get a shock and jump right out.
But if you put a frog into a pan of cold water and warm it up slowly, it doesn't notice.
The point is this: If you’re yelling at everyone all the time saying “buy my stuff, buy my stuff, buy my stuff!” they're going to leap out of the pan and run a mile!
But if you get to know them, if you build a relationship with them, if you show them your expertise, if you're listening to them, helping them, asking them questions and getting them involved in your life, they will start to Like, Know and Trust you.
And when they start to Like, Know and Trust you what happens is that they want to be around you.
They want to engage in your Live’s and comment on your posts.
They sign up to more and more of your freebies, they start purchasing your lower cost offers, then they work up to the higher paid offers that you've got going on.
Whether it's a Live, a pre recorded video, or a written text-based post, booking more clients on Facebook is 1000x easier when you use real emotion!
It's about talking to people, getting it a little bit personal, sharing your stories and anecdotes and connecting with them on a deeper level.
When it comes down to it, emotion is the reason people buy. They want the feeling, the emotion that your product or service will give them.
