‘Productivity’ and ‘efficiency’ are the popular buzzwords lately as more and more online business owners try to make the most of their time during a busy day.
No matter how hard you try, you simply can’t do everything yourself when it comes to running your business!
Besides, why should you have to?
Business is meant to be fun and give you the freedom you need, so don’t tie yourself to your desk 24/7!
Investing in your business - and yourself - not only lowers your stress levels but it also makes your business run more smoothly, therefore increasing your profits month on month.
If you’re a busy Coach, Therapist or Online Business Owner with a service-based business and want to improve your productivity, try these three tips:
I know, I know, it’s the first thing everyone says and you’ve probably heard it a million times…
And let’s be honest, the only 2 reasons why you think you can’t outsource your work are because you think it costs you money or you like to be in control of everything yourself…
I get it - I’m a bit of a control freak too!
But I did learn to let go, in a way that actually meant I still had the final say on things!
So, rather than being stuck doing the same old monotonous tasks day after day, month after month or spending hours or months figuring out how to use expensive software, the smart & savvy business owners know that outsourcing is key to success.
You’re a Coach, not a graphic designer and don’t need to spend months learning Photoshop or Canva just to create beautiful graphics for your social media posts.
You don’t have to be an Expert at EVERYTHING.
It’s OK to ask for help.
In fact, it actually shows your own personal growth, not to mention it will help your business grow exponentially.
Find Experts on sites like Fiverr.com, Upwork, or ask in your favourite Facebook Groups. I guarantee there will be many freelancers just dying to help you!
What takes one expert an hour to do can easily take a non-savvy business owner 5 hours to complete, or more! Is that really a good use of your time?
Look at it this way, if you can pay someone to do it for less that you charge a client for an hour working with you - do it!
Let’s say you want to create some graphics for your new product, like this one below.
You could spend 2-3 hours doing this yourself (if you kind of know what you’re doing!) or if you hate design, aren’t ‘creative’ or don’t know how to create graphics like these, then it could take you all day.
Wouldn’t you rather spend that time helping your clients and getting paid your usual £300 - £1000 for it?
Exactly! So why not pay a freelancer or VA £10-£40 to create those graphics for you?
You’re actually LOSING money if you don’t!
Are you stuck in the dark ages, doing things a certain way just because you’ve always done it that way?
Business, technology & the online world moves fast!
I’d bet my bottom dollar that you could find a new tool or piece of software that will help you do at least one thing in your business easier or faster than what you’re currently doing!
TOP TIP: I love using Wave for my accounts! It’s quick, easy to use, makes your taxes & accounts simple (I know, shock horror, right?!) and it integrates with your bank accounts, PayPal & Zapier too! Oh, and did I mention it’s FREE?!
OK, so back to kicking those old habits to the curb...
Delegate tasks whenever you can, find new software, plan out new programs or updates...
These are all things you can start doing today, not to spend money unnecessarily but to breathe new life, productivity and excitement into your business.
Use a project management tool like Asana, CoSchedule or Trello or an old-fashioned paper planner… but whichever you choose, put your projects onto a calendar and work towards achieving those goals.
Without a plan, your actions are often scattered and inconsistent, meaning it’s much harder to reach your goals and you’re probably working a lot more than you need to!
You might find yourself working on something completely unrelated to your goals or you might push back your own deadlines & due dates in order to put client business ahead of your business growth & goals.
An actionable plan is your blueprint to reaching your goals, no matter how big or small they may seem!
Seeing this plan daily will give you something to focus on, therefore increasing your daily productivity - I recommend using the 90 Day Planner inside the Cash Calendar, printing it out and having it on your desk where you’ll see it while you’re working to keep you focused.
Overwhelmed at the idea of planning? Have No Fear!
The Cash Calendar has exclusive trainings included, where you will uncover exactly how to set big, achievable goals that will quantum leap you to success, plus how to break those goals down into doable, actionable steps.
While everyone’s goals will be different, we all have to create a roadmap and learn how to take real action. There’s no excuse not to grow your business this year!
Productivity hacks like those I’ve mentioned above can make a real difference in your coaching business.
They not only help you to become more efficient and make better use of your time, but they also give you strategy and streamline your business, so you can spend more time doing the things you love.
Create your Cash Calendar today and take the first step to being more productive and reaching your goals!
